mountain and the sea

I think I'm done with this piece.
In total, I have: hand painted the mane and tail with a single circular brush (no nice brushes for gimp), painted the horn, painted the eye, created the planet, repainted hooves, painted the clingy seaweed, added stuff to the sky, and touched up a bunch of stuffs that i can't remember.

This image is completely up to your interpretation. I showed one other person the first image while I was working on it and she said some things that I never thought about.. While I saw it in one light, she saw it in another.

I've never tried a fantasy piece before and I really liked the freedom I got from working on it. This is my take of the unicorn. He's not the first or the last, he's not dying or taking a great leap of faith. He is rather handsome looking though, oui?
